According to TingFire.com website , a "Fire Saftey Team" takes the appropriate response, why is State Farm expected to notify homeowners (because they gave the devices away free)? I'm not sold on Ting's ability to prevent homeowner fires - it still makes the homewoner wait for a response, and then the wait time involved in Ting coordinating with the utility or Fire Department. By the time, enough decision makers are convinced... it's too late. Best way to prevent home electrical fires is to upgrade home electrical service, add a surge protector at the electrical panel, don't overload wall receptacles, learn about electrical device ratings, and don't use cheap extension cords (i.e. power strip with surge protection and mini-breaker is better). Too many homes still exist with a 60 Amp glass fuse box and old (rubber/fabric based) wiring, instead of Romex. And nowadays they sell arc-flash (AFCI) receptacles at Home Depot (in addition to the GFCI receptacles).

It seems very unusual that an insurance company would go out of its way to provide a sensor that monitors your electrical system for "free". It makes me believe that they had some sort of intel on the (obviously orchestrated) fires ahead of time.

Also, I never believe what our elitists claim who our "enemy" is. It's always the same boogeyman: Iran, Russia, China, North Korea. Our real enemy is the CIA, Military industrial complex, Ivy League and Standford type class who take over top positions in our government.

I said this before but the DEI, wokeness, and incompetence finger pointing is all a distraction. That was part of the playbook to make people look another direction.
