The MN Political Assassinations: A Link to Opus Dei?
The suspected assassin of two Minnesota lawmakers has an interesting connection to the radical Catholic group.
Vance Luther Boelter stands accused of the brutal assassination of Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman and her spouse, along with the shooting of state senator John Hoffman and his wife on June 14th.
While the media has zeroed in on Vance Boelter’s Evangelical links in Congo, Ken Klippenstein has uncovered a copy of the accused assassin’s resume that has an intriguing tie to Opus Dei:
Religious and political associations are absent from his resume, with perhaps one exception: a reference to a defunct private Catholic school, Cardinal Stritch University in Wisconsin, where he said he holds a Doctorate in Leadership.
The university is named after Cardinal Samuel Stritch, who expanded its reach throughout the 1950s and 1960s. As Archbishop, Stritch oversaw the establishment of the first American chapter of Opus Dei.
Opus Dei in the DRC
He not only attended an Opus Dei school, but the organization also has a presence in Congo along with Boelter’s Red Lion Group.

The Alleged Shooter’s Israeli Ties
There’s an interesting article in Wired that goes into his time in Gaza and support for Israel:
According to public records and archived websites reviewed by WIRED, the suspect served for a time as the president of Revoformation Ministries. A version of the ministry’s website captured in 2011 carries a biography in which he is said to have been ordained in 1993.
According to an archived website for the ministry reviewed by WIRED, the suspected shooter’s missionary work took him to Gaza and the West Bank during the Second Intifada, where, the website states, he “sought out militant Islamists in order to share the gospel and tell them that violence wasn't the answer.”
A later version of the site was designed, according to an archived copy, by Israeli web design firm J-Town. Charlie Kalech, CEO of J-Town, tells WIRED that the alleged suspect was, in his recollection, “clearly religious and evangelistic. He had lots of ideas to make the world a better place.”
The suspect, whom Kalech said was “nothing but nice to me,” commissioned J-Town, Kalech recalled, because they’re Jerusalem-based, and he said he wanted to support Israel.
The Mossad also operates in the DRC along with fellow radical Catholic Erik Prince. Prince circulates among the same Leonard Leo/Opus Dei network. Although I have not found any direct links between Erik Prince and Vance Boelter, there are many similarities between the two men. They both operated in the private security sector within some of the same countries and have links to the Opus Dei network.
Meet the Team | Praetorian Guard Security Services
Dr. Vance Boelter has been involved with security situations in Eastern Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East, including the West Bank, Southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. He brings a great security aspect forged by both many on the ground experiences combined with training by both private security firms and by people in the U.S. Military.
This raises the question: which private security firms did he collaborate with? Could it have been Erik Prince, who was also active in Congo at the time?
I’ll be following this story as more information comes out about a possible motive. If you have any tips, you know where to hit me up on X (@DCinTejas) or message me on Substack.

Those are important links. Is the radical religious agenda related to assassinating Dems as simple as being anti-abortion or is there more to it? MN Dems passed a lot of legislation in the recent term
